Introduction: This research aims to review the impact of drug addiction, domestic violence and suicide in Australia through lens disaster risk reduction. study explores whether can be considered as disasters according established thresholds definitions; contemporary health emergency management (HEDRM) practice adapted support action reduce these events inform Method: A literature was conducted explore societal disruptions causing disasters. Key Australian government reports describing deaths associated with suicide, addiction were identified, following which a constrained snowball sampling applied bibliography each document gather further key articles evolution themes over period 2000-2018. The search strategy included both peer reviewed grey literature. We used terms ‘social disruption’, 'non-traditional', ‘drug addiction’, ‘domestic violence, ‘suicide’ 'societal disruption' words if they demonstrated an analysis theme related settings. Results: Utilizing Disaster Resilience Knowledge Hub international CRED criteria for disaster, on human upon population meet disaster.
